The Crested Gecko (Correlophus ciliatus) is a popular, arboreal lizard native to New Caledonia, instantly recognizable by the distinctive crest-like fringe of skin running above its eyes and down its neck. Reaching a manageable adult size of 7 to 8 inches and featuring calm, handleable personalities, they make exceptional, low-maintenance pets for keepers of all experience levels who can provide a tall, vertically oriented terrarium equipped with plenty of foliage, moderate room-temperature heating, and high humidity.
