Shipping & Collection Policy

Roxy’s Pet Shop Ltd

Last updated: 11 September 2026

This policy explains the delivery and collection arrangements for purchases made through Roxy’s Pet Shop.

1. Live Animals – In-Store Collection Only

WE DO NOT SHIP OR POST LIVE ANIMALS.

All live animals purchased from Roxy’s Pet Shop are available for in-store collection only from:

Roxy’s Pet Shop
204 High Street
Bloxwich
Walsall
WS3 3LA

Live animals will not be sent by Royal Mail, standard courier, parcel delivery service or any other ordinary postal method.

Where livestock is displayed on our website, this is primarily to provide customers with information regarding our current or recent availability.

An animal being displayed on our website does not guarantee that it remains available.

We recommend checking current availability with us before making a special journey.

2. Animal Collection Requirements

Before an animal is released to a customer, we may require confirmation that appropriate accommodation and equipment are in place.

Depending on the species, this may include photographs or videos showing:

  • The complete enclosure;

  • Appropriate heating;

  • Thermostatic control;

  • UVB or other required lighting;

  • Suitable substrate and furnishings;

  • Filtration and water conditions;

  • Appropriate hides and enrichment; and

  • Other essential species-specific equipment.

We reserve the right to postpone or refuse the collection or sale of an animal where we reasonably believe that the proposed accommodation or care arrangements are unsuitable or applicable welfare or licensing requirements have not been met.

Animal welfare will always take priority.

3. Collecting Your Animal

Customers should arrive with an appropriate means of safely transporting their animal home.

Transport arrangements should be suitable for the species and take account of factors such as:

  • Temperature;

  • Ventilation;

  • Journey duration;

  • Security of the transport container; and

  • Protection from unnecessary stress.

Our staff can provide advice on suitable transportation where required.

4. Reservations & Collection

Where we agree to reserve an animal for collection, any reservation period, deposit requirements and collection arrangements will be confirmed with the customer.

A reservation does not remove our animal-welfare responsibilities.

We may decline to complete an animal sale if appropriate accommodation or other necessary welfare requirements have not been satisfied.

Any applicable deposit or cancellation terms will be explained when the reservation is made.

5. Non-Livestock Products

Where delivery is offered for eligible pet supplies, accessories or other non-livestock products, the available delivery options and charges will be shown during checkout or otherwise communicated before the order is completed.

Not every product is necessarily available for delivery.

Large, heavy, fragile or restricted products may be:

  • Collection only;

  • Subject to additional delivery charges; or

  • Unavailable for standard delivery.

6. Delivery Areas

Where delivery is offered, the available delivery area will be shown at checkout.

We reserve the right to restrict delivery of certain products based on their size, weight, nature or destination.

Live animals are excluded from our standard delivery service regardless of destination.

7. Delivery Times

Any delivery times provided are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.

Delivery times may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, severe weather, public holidays or other disruption.

Where we become aware of a significant delay, we will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

8. Delivery Charges

Any applicable delivery charge will normally be displayed before an online order is completed.

Charges may vary depending on:

  • Parcel size;

  • Weight;

  • Delivery destination;

  • Delivery method; and

  • The products ordered.

Customers will have an opportunity to review applicable delivery charges before completing an eligible online purchase.

9. Incorrect Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information when placing an order.

Please check your delivery address carefully before submitting your order.

If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible.

We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been dispatched.

10. Damaged or Missing Deliveries

If a non-livestock order arrives damaged, incomplete or does not arrive as expected, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide:

  • Your name;

  • Order details;

  • Details of the problem; and

  • Photographs of damaged products or packaging where appropriate.

We will investigate the matter and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

11. Returns

Returns and refunds are governed by our separate Return & Refund Policy.

Please refer to that policy for information regarding change-of-mind returns, faulty products and your statutory consumer rights.

Live animals are not accepted as change-of-mind returns.
